Prototyping: Fundamentals

     Modelmaking, Prototyping and Rapid Prototyping is referred to when we build actual 3D models from the CAD data files.  Prototyping and model making services range from generating quick concept models including form studies and mock-ups or scale models to complete working prototypes.  Engineering and testing fixture models are part of the "Proof of Concept" phase development.   Marketing and appearance models are used when speed and function are necessary.  Rapid Prototyping including SLA, SLS and RTV service are excellent 3D validation models.  PCB electronic breadboards are generated to prove out and trouble shoot a new circuit.  During the product development process, models and rapid prototypes can be very valuable tools for evoking and evaluating customer response to a particular design concept, verifying a functional layout or complete user interface, design reviews.  Following is a quick cross section of the types of models and modelmaking services we offer.
