3D Design Development

Three dimensional (3D) Product Design Development is the technical and emotional part of the Industrial Design and Design Engineering product development process.  From simple tools to complex machines, the 3D process typically starts with the formulation of the "idea", which is then developed into a visualized "concept", defining the product invention or part assembly (enclosure) based on the primary functional purpose and intended use.  Our Industrial Designers has mastered the ability to visualize and implement a product through the entire process, to machine, explore, draw up and communicate the design opportunities .   The ability to make intelligent, informed decisions, to see the end product, based on conceived ideas and effectively communicate the solution, you must ultimately draw in 3D and build it in 3D.  This 3D design development process is where your selection of working with an Industrial Design group like WhiteLight Design is the most beneficial.

We have been educated, trained, and focused on mastering the 3D sketching - ideation and 3D computer-aided design CAD process.  We can support you in quickly envisioning the possibilities through thumbnail sketches and drawings and quickly communicate the feasible and appropriate alternatives, to best deliver a successful 3D solution that is mass marketable and manufacturable, a reasonable price.  Moving from idea to sketches to 3D mock-up models to 3D color renderings to 3D solid CAD models, to 3D prototypes to 3D soft and hard tooling, to a fully functional 3D part assembly in a 3 - 6 month timeframe is the industrial design process.

We follow a form - follows - function methodology, based on Human Factors and User Interface Design,
from the end users or consumers perspective. The Enlightened Solution at the end of the rainbow is the final design CAD part files which are ready to proceed to tooling and mass production. You may have a sketch, crude or fully functional model, but you need to take it to the professional level low cost, mass manufacturing prototype level and you need Designers and or Engineers who will lead and work with you to bring it all together.
