Materials Engineering (MatE)

     The Engineering team at WhiteLight Design have mastered the basics of applied materials.  With this knowledge our Engineers and Manufacturers utilize the natural, raw, compound, composite and desired byproducts of materials and the desired nano, chemical, mechanical and industrially enhanced properties of materials and their application to product development and mass manufacturing production processes.   The responsibility of choosing the appropriate materials and understanding the relationships between the structure of materials and their properties includes elements of applied physics and chemistry, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering.   It also includes the exploding nanotechnology markets including nano or sub atomic particle, organic chemistry, and new medical and biomedical and super tough, super light engineering materials.  

     The application of and performance of commodity and new engineering materials, or Material Science and materials properties and structural integrity as a result of processing are the heart beat of industrial design and mechanical engineering and mass production development of parts and components for new products and production equipment.  Our building knowledge of traditional as well as new machining, forming and molding of raw as well as new "state of the art"  materials, including Natural Materials, Textiles, commodity and engineered Polymers - Plastics, ferrous and non ferrous Metals-Alloys including glass and  ceramic composites helps ensure you, your team and company are developing and manufacturing a durable, innovative, and properly constructed product.
