CAD - CAE - CAM

3D Computer-Aided Design (3DCAD) is the main geometry, virtual authoring tool within product development and production manufacturing.  The 3D CAD Product Development and Product Lifecycle Management processes are based in the solid modeling capabilities of 3D CAD combined with more advanced mechanical assemblies, dynamic analysis and virtual simulation software. From simple sheet metal part to global weather predictions to nano materials and machine building, all CAD systems are centered on the binary data that is exported and imported from program to program - Artist to Industrial Designer to Engineering to Prototyping to Tooling to Manufacturing to Packaging.

 +

Practical generation and application of 3D CAD modeling can be very powerful in the utilization to construct complex electronic and mechanical mechanisms, perform 3D part mechanical assembly and mechanism modeling, tolerance and geometry fit checks, allowing  CAE - Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and behavioral analysis, leading to Computer-Aided Machining (CAM) and Rapid Prototyping (RP - CNC, SLA, SLS),  machine, mold, die, tool or part creation,  for 3D analysis.  The CAD process helps automate the process of defining material and manufacturing process selection for defining tool paths and cutting rate speeds, creating production tooling - injection molding cavities and cores, manufacturing robotics assembly, quality controls, part inspections, etc.

     Knowledge and mastering the
process of CAD - CAE - CAM development allows Development Managers and Entrepreneurs the strategic management of the entire invention - product development process, from "concept to production assembly line" including robotic automation, including "just in time" resource allocations, personnel management, distribution, and fulfillment, minimizing costs, cycle time and reworks.
