Sleep Respirator Device / Tranquility® Quest

AWARD: FINALIST Medical Design Excellence Award 1998
an annual product design competition sponsored by Cannon Communications

     Working with Respironic's engineering, manufacturing and marketing groups, WhiteLight Design developed this sleep apnea device for personal night time use. Connected to a nasal mask, it is used to reduce snoring and sleep interruption. The functional constraints of incorporating a handle, hose connection, inlet filter, air ducting and noise reduction baffling into a two piece, injection molded housing, challenged us in developing this solution.  With the new Tranquility Quest® design, the Client experienced a significant increase in CPAP sales, representing a major portion of their company CPAP sales volume.
